Miia Illiano, cherished wife of New York J&P Pizza owner Frank Illiano, passed away on June 10, 2025. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and community in Mount Airy, becoming beloved figures in the local area. Their journey began when Frank opened New York J&P Pizza and later married Miia, with whom he raised their children—Amber, Randy, and Gennaro—alongside grandchildren Finn and Gillian.
Miia was known for her warmth and commitment to family life. She played a central role in nurturing their children, supporting Frank’s thriving restaurant business, and engaging in community events that brought people together. Whether helping out at charity functions, cheering at her grandchildren’s activities, or simply greeting guests with a welcoming smile at the restaurant, Miia’s gentle presence and unwavering kindness touched all who met her.
Her devotion to family extended far beyond her immediate household—she helped maintain the strong bonds within the Illiano family, celebrating life’s milestones and offering comfort during times of need. Her love for her husband and children was visible in every gesture, and her enthusiasm for life inspired all who knew her.
Miia is survived by her loving husband, Frank Illiano; their children, Amber, Randy, and Gennaro; grandchildren Finn and Gillian; and her extended family. She was a guiding light to friends, co-workers, and everyone who walked through the doors of New York J&P Pizza.
A private funeral service will be held in accordance with the family’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local family support or children’s charity of your choice, in Miia’s honor.
Miia Illiano will be deeply missed for her compassion, her strength, and the profound love she shared with her family and community. Her spirit lives on in the legacy of kindness and dedication she leaves behind.
