Britney Lee Gough-Tackett, 34, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2025. Born on January 19, 1991, in Zanesville, Britney was the beloved daughter of Terry L. (Jill) Gough and Marsha (Gene) Lewellen Rexroad.
A proud 2009 graduate of West Muskingum High School, Britney went on to earn her nursing degree from Central Ohio Technical College in 2014. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Mid-Ohio Behavioral Health, where she dedicated herself to caring for others with compassion and skill.
Britney was a devoted mother whose greatest joy came from her two daughters, Leah K. Tackett and Paislee M. Tackett. She cherished every moment spent cheering them on in gymnastics and celebrating their accomplishments. She was also a devoted fan of Jelly Roll, often finding comfort and connection in his music and message.
In addition to her parents and daughters, Britney is survived by her sisters, Savannah D. Rexroad and Miranda A. Norris; her grandmother, Bonnie May Tague Lewellen; her aunt and uncle, Becky and Steve Howard; and cousins, Christian (Ashley) Howard, Halle Howard, and Nicholas Howard.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Paul Lewellen.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at The Snouffer Funeral Home, 1150 West Military Road, Zanesville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 13, in the Snouffer Chapel, with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.

Britney will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her fierce love for her children, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed.
